Establishment and Membership
The Central Visayas Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (CVAARRDEC) formerly known as Central Visayas Consortium for Integrated Regional Research and Development (CV-CIRRD) was revived last October 26, 2017. It is now on its third year of operation. A total of 19 consortium member institutions are duly registered as to date. Among the 19 members, there are 4 State Universities and Colleges, 3 Private Higher Education Institutions, and 12 Research and Development Institutions. Moreover, the 19 members are further classified as 11 Research and Development Implementing agencies and 8 Non-Research and Development Implementing agencies.

The whole-year consortium operations are under the able leadership of Dr. Regucivilla Avenido-Pobar, SUC President III of BISU. The management and administration of the target deliverables are proficiently executed by Dr. Zina D. Sayson, the Consortium Director and Dr. Anabel J. Intong ,the Deputy Consortium Director.

Vision

A productive consortium with relevant and harmonized research, development, and extension programs for sustainable development and management of agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources (AANR) in Central Visayas.

Mission

To generate, nurture, and foster collaborative and demand-driven Science and Technology innovations for human welfare and healthy environment.

Goals

Research and Development: To collaboratively produce locally responsive, globally competitive and harmonized R&D programs.
Technology Transfer: To identify mature and appropriate technologies for efficient utilization, adoption and commercialization for sustainable development in agriculture, aquatic and natural resources.
Knowledge Management Transfer: To gather and consolidate vital RDE information and generate knowledge products that foster collaboration, coordination and implementation of programs and projects.
